The London 2012 Olympics will kick off in Cardiff later today, and Vaughan Sound, a PAI Group company, is delighted to be a part of it.
The world’s biggest sporting event will visit the Welsh capital for the first of 11 Olympic football matches at the iconic Millennium Stadium.
Having installed the public address and voice alarm system at the stadium, and secured a ten-year maintenance contract, Vaughan Sound’s technical expertise will prove integral to the efficient operation of the Games.
Working in conjunction with Olympic organisers LOCOG and their associated companies, our team of engineers will be taking to the stadium prior to and during every match to confirm that the audio and voice evacuation equipment is in optimum working order.
Vaughan Sound has contracted live events specialists AB Acoustics to assist with the large-scale project and together will ensure the safety of the 40,000+ spectators expected to attend each event.
The first match, which takes places ahead of the Olympics main opening ceremony in London, will see Great Britain take on New Zealand in women’s football this afternoon. The game will be followed by Cameroon v Brazil this evening.
