Client quotes

“We’ve worked with Vaughan Sound many times over the years – we know the quality of work they produce is exceptional. “The value the system brings to the Principality Stadium now is matching, meeting, and probably exceeding customer expectation and promoter expectation about the spectator experience that fans will have when they come here. “We know that the system provides top quality sound to meet the standards of both concerts and the incredible atmosphere at rugby matches.” – Mark Williams, Principality Stadium Manager

BS 5839-8 Compliant Voice Alarm Systems for Public Buildings, Stadia and Sports Venues

Vaughan Sound supplies, installs, commissions, services and maintains voice alarm systems to the highest quality standards within the UK and abroad.

Voice alarm systems need to operate continuously and reliably – they can ultimately save lives in the event of an emergency.

Working in conjunction with the fire alarm installer, we proficiently design and install systems that meet the following:

BS 5839-8 (the industry code of practice for the design, installation and maintenance of voice alarm systems)

BS EN 50849 (sound systems for emergency purposes)

BS 7827 (the code of practice for designing, specifying, maintaining and operating sound systems for sports grounds, large public buildings, and venues)

EN 54-16, EN 54-24

Special considerations need to be made when designing voice alarm systems; including acoustics, the role of various audio technology, and the need to broadcast emergency messages that are clear, coherent and easily understood.

We can also advise clients, contractors and daily operators/responsible persons on the use of fire rated cabling, suitable loudspeakers, fault monitoring, integration with fire detection systems and other life safety equipment, as well as the creation and maintenance of an evacuation plan and service log book to ensure systems remain fully functional and in optimum working order at all times.

Providing the highest level of clarity and intuitive control solutions, Vaughan Sound’s state-of-the-art schemes can be utilised for both general and emergency broadcast purposes.

With over 60 years of operational experience within the audio industry, we are also recognised as United Kingdom main distributors for Baldwin Boxall and TOA, two of the leading equipment manufacturers in this field.
