Hospitality Case Study – Enhancing the guest experience
Client Overview
Brooklands Hotel is an art deco inspired four-star hotel in Weybridge, Surrey.
The renowned hospitality venue was designed around the legacy of the 1930s Brooklands racetrack that surrounds and runs through the building. It boasts impressive facilities including a luxury spa, contemporary conference rooms and panoramic superior suites.
Project Brief
Our team was tasked with installing state-of-the-art audio-visual conference room solutions and sound systems into the spa, gymnasium, function suite, meeting rooms and public areas of the newly built hotel.
PAI worked in conjunction with AV/IT specialist Planet Consulting during the installation, following on from previous projects in which the two companies had successfully collaborated.
Technical Solutions
Digitally controlled mixers and multi-channel amplifiers from the Cloud Electronics range were installed for background music in all public areas of the hotel; including the bar, lobby, restaurant and WCs.
An independent system utilising the same range of products was also installed in the hotel’s luxury spa, allowing relaxing background music to be distributed throughout the reception and treatment rooms, with all spaces having individual control over the music source and ambient sound levels.
The music sources provided included a four-zone c-burn hard disk music player, multi disc CD player, plus AM/FM and DAB tuners. Recessed ceiling speakers from the TOA range were utilised to deliver sharp, even audio throughout these guest areas.
Bespoke multimedia display systems were also installed into the hotel’s conference and meeting rooms. An AMX touchscreen control solution with two central processors offers intuitive AV setup of the flexible spaces, allowing the partitioned areas to be used independently or as larger spaces as required. The AMX system was also programmed to manage control of the display and audio devices, lighting and blinds in standalone and multiple room formats.

PAI delivered a range of innovative systems that offer Brooklands Hotel accessible and adaptable audio-visual, sound and lighting products that work brilliantly with the hospitality venue’s contemporary design.
