Vaughan Sound successfully completed a complex AV, sound and lighting installation at Cardiff's famous Pierhead.
The Grade One listed building, which was built in 1897 as the headquarters for Bute Dock Company in the industrial era, required a number of products and services to improve the overall interactivity that its owners (the National Assembly of Wales) desired.
Used on a daily basis for discussion and debate and to host conferences, events and public exhibitions/visitor attractions, Vaughan Sound was appointed to integrate audio, lighting, video and control elements to the main hall.
This area of the building now acts as a multi-functional area accomodating all of the above, after Vaughan Sound specified and installed products such as; a Panasonic PT-D4000E projector, Sony EVID70P PTZ show relay camera, AMX NI3100 controller, Zero 88 fixtures and control, Martin Audio amplifiers and loudspeakers, an Allen & Heath IDR8 DSP, Yamaha O1V96VCM mixer, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and Shure microphones as well as a Current Thinking induction loop system.
The completed installation is adaptable for a variety of activities, whilst also complying with all cultural heritage guidelines.
