LLANELLI-based
PAI beat off a host of UK nightclub designers and installers to
collect a prestigious award on September 26 from BEDA.
The Bar Entertainment and Dance Association represents
late night leisure venue operators across the UK and PAI’s
managing director Paul Adams collected the Smirnoff BEDA trophy
for UK Installation of the Year. The award, presented at Birmingham’s
Hilton Metropole Hotel, follows the innovative design and installation
of Castle Leisure’s flagship venue - City Nightclub in Edinburgh.
Last month PAI won the regional Scottish BEDA award
for the installation – which nominated them for the national
event. The judges’ panel said: “The work was a comprehensive
installation that demanded quality and flexibility in equal measure.
PA Installations delivered.”
Also nominated with PAI were Showtec for Cirque
in London and TMC for Mood in Liverpool. Awards were presented by
TV and radio presenter Vernon Kay.
PA Installations was established by
former DJ Paul Adams in 1976 to provide specialist entertainment
technology solutions to the leisure industry. Employing 27 staff,
PAI is part of the PAI Group – incorporating Vaughan Sound
Installations and Lighting Technology Projects. |
