PAI recently completed a roll out of narrow bezel LCD panel technology for Reiss Stores throughout their London estate.
Initially PAI were contacted by the design team to deliver a concept for a new in store promotion requiring an anamorphic screen approximately 1.8M high and 0.6M wide. On review, a simple approach was agreed in terms of utilising a pair of narrow bezel 46” LCD Screens fitted above each other. Content was sourced from a simple networked solid state media player and each screen was connected utilising HDMI. Working with the client’s chosen content provider, PAI supplied the recommended settings for the video project and encodes, resulting in the correct proportions being visible on the finished display.
Each installation required careful coordination with the client’s Shopfit contractor, and PAI worked closely with all trades prior to completion. The Groups Technical Director, Andy Bonehill commented “We actually chose a very simple and cost effective solution to create the required display, and once specified; the technology side of fitting was relatively simple. The real key was to have everything tested and all design integration with the Shopfit contractor completed properly and well in advance so we could minimise the time required on site and complete the job in the timeframe specified. As it was, we were able to fit out all stores over two consecutive nights of work, and in each case the client was able to open the next morning with a fully completed display solution.”
