PAI with a Vue

PAI assembled a team of top technicians to help re-brand and refresh the AV systems they had previously installed at 36 former Warner Village Cinema Foyers when they were re-branded as "Vue" Cinemas.

This was the first major project undertaken by multi-national cinema operators SBC International Cinemas since their acquisition deal with former owners Warner. The new Vue cinema circuit is the largest UK multiplex operator.

PAI originally branded all the same venues for Warner Village and at this stage specified and installed highly flexible AV systems.

The rebranding involved Glasgow-based Unick Architects creating a completely new look and design scheme for the foyers, with PAI taking care of the AV and effect lighting requirements.

Andy Bonehill project managed for PAI, and the contract was fast tracked to complete the makeover in 30 venues in just 12 weeks.

PAI removed most of the original AV systems and reinstalled and reconfigured equipment to meet the new owner's requirements.

The Martin Audio sound systems were revisited and the digital sound processing re-programmed. The video servers were loaded up with new content and their scheduling re-configured. The full flexibility and initial forethought of these systems made the upgrading task relatively straightforward and achievable in such a short timescale.

Good co-ordination and communication all round was a key to the success and smooth running of the project.
